Social Anxiety Is the Third Largest Psychological Disorder in Society The fear of social situations is probably been around for as long as we have been living in groups. Social anxiety is said to rank number three only behind alcoholism and clinical depression. It's my belief that much of the general anxiety we hold toward society is due to the loss of common community values. That is, we can no longer rely upon our view that the general public are all basically the same. By the same I do not mean race, gender, or other physical characteristics that of the values and tolerance that was so much in evidence in years past
There are many different types of social anxiety including being uncomfortable and having a heightened awareness that people may be looking at the suffer with the intent to ridicule or harmed in some way. Family holiday gatherings and get-togethers are tedious. This is often accompanied by to belief that these gatherings are an opportunity to ridicule or are inconvenient for your guests 10. Social anxiety phobia has affected not only your private life, but possibly also your career in an attempt to stay in control of the anxious feelings Don't think for one minute however that you are the only person that has had to deal with social anxiety. Many celebrites and sports figures also suffer from some form of social anxiety.
