Panic disorder is a real illness that can be successfully treated when accurately diagnosed. The result is that you breathe deeper and faster to fully oxygenate your blood in your heart starts pumping faster and preparation for a fight or flight. With the panic attack, because neither of these two situations will occur, someone with the disorder can hyperventilate and be much more aware of our heart pounding. This in turn causes the other symptoms.
Although these reactions in an emergency situation are quite normal, a person with panic disorder mental illness can experience these symptoms at any time or anyplace.
Rarely dangerous, panic attacks can be related to a variety of anxiety disorders and should be considered serious. Many physical symptoms can also indicate some very serious physical diseases and illnesses
